Conventional training methods of mortar crews require endless firing scenarios and hundreds of expensive bombs. Even in the most practiced military environment, it takes many months for a mortar crew to become and to remain proficient. The Marksman Mortar Trainer has been designed to train a mortar crew to the highest level of skill in the shortest period of time – without firing any live ammunition. Upon completion of the basic mortar training on the Marksman Trainer 60/81mm Conventional Mortar system, crews are completely competent with firing of live ammunition.
This all weather, novice to expert system, can be set up in virtually any room and is exceedingly cost effective: not only does it cost a fraction compared to our international competitors, but it also significantly reduces logistical costs.
